Check-In and Inspection will be 4pm-6pm on Tuesday 9 September at the Comfort Inn in Louisville. If this time will not work for you, please let me know in advance. You will need to show your:
- lighting system mounted on bike, and backup lighting system
- reflective gear for your bike and yourself (legbands and reflective vest or equivalent)
I will hand out rider packets including brevet card, Kensington postcard, printouts of map and cue sheet, plus dropbag tags for Atwood and Byers.
After inspection, you may wish to join other riders for dinner at a neighboring restaurant - there are several within walking distance. We recommend Carrabbas one block north.

looks to be change on inbounbd route at 730.6 miles ? was hyw 52 - now rd7 ?? left turn still on 95th street?? pls advise
ReplyDeleteThat's true, Dick. So indeed the route is not the same as in 2006. (I'll modify the base post.)
ReplyDeleteThis change cuts out four miles of safe but not quiet road. Hwy. 52 has a broad shoulder in good shape, but it's somewhat busy.
I considered quieter, backroads routing for the finish, at the cost of more navigation, but there's construction on at least one segment, making this unbeneficial.
